What is Mandala Therapeutic Services?

Mandala Therapeutic Services is a mental health group practice located in Ashland, proudly serving clients throughout the Tri-State area. Our team of experienced and compassionate professionals is dedicated to providing high-quality outpatient counseling, psychotherapy, and targeted case management services tailored to each client’s unique needs. 

We offer one-on-one traditional therapy as well as the following services:

What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy, often referred to as talk therapy, is an effective treatment approach that helps individuals manage a wide range of mental health conditions and emotional challenges. Through psychotherapy, clients can learn to better understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, reduce or manage troubling symptoms, improve daily functioning, and enhance overall well-being, healing, and personal growth.

What are some of your hobbies and/or interests?  

 I love spending time with my husband, kids, and family! I enjoy going for walks, movie nights, and singing. 


Do you have any pets? 

I have two dogs: Winston, also known as Winnie, who is a Goldendoodle, and Nellie, also known as Nell Bell, who is an Aussiedoodle. We also have three adorable ferrets named Stuart, Charlotte, and Dexter.


What is your favorite color and why? 

Emerald Green is my favorite color because it is so vibrant and eye catching.


What is your favorite coping skill? 

Cleaning my house! 


What is your favorite quote?

What are some of your hobbies and/or interests?  

I enjoy mountain biking, snowboarding, fishing, kayaking, and playing guitar. I also love thrifting, reading, and playing video games. 


Do you have any pets? 

Yes! I have a Pomeranian named Baby and a leopard gecko named Toast.

Pink! I think it matches my personality.


What is your favorite coping skill? 

Taking time to enjoy my interests and spending quality time with my friends and family.

This quote is from one of my favorite anime series. I believe that empathy is a superpower, and that compassion is one of the most generous and meaningful gifts we can offer to others.

Diversions
While not an absolute solution, a diversion coping skill may help you to avoid irrational thoughts and distract you temporarily until you can think clearly.

Social Coping Skills

Engaging with a therapist, friend, or loved one can help you gain a clearer understanding of a problem and offer supportive guidance. 

  • Help your neighbor

  • Set healthy boundaries in a relationship

  • Learn when to say "no"

  • Using humor to diffuse a situation

  • Encouraging a friend

Physical Coping Skills

Physical coping skills are body-based strategies that help reduce stress and promote overall emotional and physical well-being.

  • Reduce sugar intake


Cognitive Coping Skills

Cognitive coping skills help to identify toxic thinking traps and reverse  negative thought processes.

  • Memorize a meaningful quote

  • Weigh pros and cons of a decision

  • Adopt a positive mindset in new situations

  • Practice self-monitoring (awareness of a problem)

  • Cognitive restructuring (change the way you think about a problem)

  • Reward yourself upon task completion/goal achievement
